     Helping Hands is a committee of resident volunteers who reach out to our local community and county by helping non-profit and charitable organizations chosen by our members. We are chartered by the Board of Directors and meet on the first Monday of the month at 10:30am in the Arts & Crafts Room. This group is open to any resident interested in participating.

Annual Easter Basket Project...

Each year we assemble baskets for local charities. Thanks to our generous residents who donate the candy, we were able to make up baskets for children and the R.A.P. House. Watch our slideshow to how this happens!

Swing Under the Stars was our Mardi Gras Spring Fundraiser...

What do you get when you combine a Dixieland band; Gumbo, Jambalaya and King Cake; and folks ready for an evening of dancing and dining under the front portico? You get a really nice Mardi Gras party! Here are some of the highlights for your enjoyment!

157 people enjoyed a wide variety of table games for an afternoon with friends, fun, treats and wonderful raffles. Thank you to all our participants and to those who donated prizes and baskets. We netted just over $2,300 for our local charities. We appreciate everyone of you who made this possible!

Enjoy the video from our recent Holiday Tea Party Fundraiser...

Helping Hands started the holiday season with a gala Holiday Tea Party, complete with the Mad Hatter, with 169 attendees enjoying the ambience and music. The Helping Hands mission is to provide financial aid to support local groups and charities throughout the year. This event generated over $2,400.00 which will be distributed to local charitable organizations in the community especially those those that help children and women in need.Thanks to the many folks who made this such a success.
